The most important of what is happening in Burgas related to the business environment.

The third edition of Tech Academy in Burgas has ended

The third edition of Tech Academy in Burgas ended with the presentation of developed platforms and distinctive projects - a joint initiative of the Association for Innovation, Business Services and Technology (AIBEST), the international IT company SoftServe and the Municipality of Burgas.

Within three weeks, students from the city's leading specialized high schools - the Vocational High School of Computer Programming and Innovation, PGEE "Konstantin Fotinov", PPMG "Acad. Nikola Obreshkov", PGHT "Acad. N. D. Zelinsky", NEG "Goethe", PGRE "Georgi S. Rakovski" and participants from the national program of the Ministry of Education and Science "IT Skills and Career" - worked in teams of 4 to 6 people on a specific task to create a digital platform. Mentors from leading IT companies, members of AIBEST, guided them through the process - from analyzing the task to presenting a final solution.

"We are glad that Burgas is hosting this innovative initiative, which once again shows how many talented and motivated young people there are in our city. The cooperation between the municipality, business and education continues to yield results that are important for both the local economy and the future of young people," said Stanimir Apostolov, Deputy Mayor for Finance of the Municipality of Burgas.

The third edition of the academy featured six teams who presented their projects to a jury of business, local government and educational institutions representatives. Three of the teams were awarded for originality, technical execution and business applicability, with the jury highlighting the high overall level and teamwork in all projects.

"I am impressed by the way the students took responsibility, worked as real teams and proposed solutions that could be implemented in a real business environment. It is precisely such practical initiatives that prepare the next generation of specialists and create the connection we want between education and industry," commented Marin Troshanov, member of the AIBEST Board of Directors.

Tech Academy is part of AIBEST's long-term strategy for sustainable development of digital skills in Bulgaria. The initiative prepares students for the professions of the future and creates valuable connections between students, teachers and representatives of the technology industry.

In previous years, the academy was successfully held in Burgas and Stara Zagora, and in February 2025, it also celebrated a strong edition in the town of Pravets.
