The most important of what is happening in Burgas related to the business environment.

An attractive forum showcases the probes, drones and underwater vehicles of Bulgarian researchers of the oceans and Antarctica

An attractive scientific forum will reveal the Bulgarian contribution to the research of the oceans and Antarctica. The event is part of the largest robotics festival FIRST® LEGO® League Burgas and will be held from 11:00 to 15:00 on April 12, Saturday, in the Foros Hall of the Congress Center.

The forum will be opened by Prof. Hristo Pimpirev, who will share his experience and expertise in Antarctic research. Through impressive documentaries and demonstrations of modern marine technology, we will immerse ourselves in the world of underwater science and climate research.

The program will feature Bulgarian documentaries that reveal the secrets of the seas, oceans and ice of Antarctica, including: "100 Years of Silence" by Maria Cherneva, "Antarctica" by Zhivko Konstantinov, "The First Voyage: 126 Days on Board" by Blagoy Tsitelkov and "Science of the Sea" by Iliyana Stoilova.

During the event, you will have the opportunity to see up close innovations in marine research, including the probes, drones and underwater vehicles that scientists use for their scientific and rescue missions such as:

- Argo probe – measures temperature and salinity of seawater up to 2000 m;

- Buoy Spotter – monitors waves, temperature, pressure and wind in real time;

- Underwater vehicle with Full HD camera – for scientific and rescue missions;

- Mini Fifish device with 4K camera – for underwater inspections and research;

- DJI Phantom 4 Multispectral drone – for monitoring the marine environment from the air.

The forum is part of the second edition of FIRST® LEGO® League Burgas and is an opportunity for students and scientists to meet today's researchers and be inspired by their scientific achievements.

The event is implemented by the Center for Creative Education and the Municipality of Burgas, with the support of Polycomp.
